The BSRA’s Junior Coaching Programme resumes on Saturday, May 19th from 12 noon at the Barbados Squash Club (B.S.C.) courts at Marine Gardens, Christ Church [B.S.C. tel. (246) 427-7913]. Coaching for this term will take place over the following eight Saturdays: May 19th & 26th; June 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th and July 14th.
The BSRA’s Saturday junior coaching sessions will take place at the B.S.C., as usual, at the following times:
12:00 ? 1:00 p.m. (Group A); 1:00 ? 2:30 p.m. (Group B); 2:30 ? 4:00 p.m. (Group C).
All junior participants should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of their coaching session so that each session can begin promptly. Please note that the fee for this term is $50 per child, payable from the first coaching session. All fees should be paid to the BSRA by May 26, 2007. The wearing of goggles is mandatory for all BSRA-sanctioned events for juniors, including these junior coaching sessions. There will be junior goggles on sale at the BSC.
Any child, 6 years or over, who might be interested in the game of squash is welcome to come to the BSC at 12 noon on Saturday, May 19th to try it out. If there are any juniors who may have missed a term or two, but would like to rejoin please feel free to come back on Saturday as well. We also request that you fill out the attached registration form (see below) with contact information for yourself and your child.
All junior coaching participants are asked to wear their squash shoes inside the B.S.C. only. Do not walk into the BSC wearing your squash shoes. When players do so they can track dirt onto the courts and leave them slippery and potentially dangerous for themselves and others. In addition, everyone is reminded to treat the B.S.C. premises with care, since the BSRA is responsible for keeping the Club tidy when we use it.
