The 35th annual National Squash Championships, sponsored for the 12th successive year by the Barbados Olympic Association Inc., resumed on Monday May 25th after a one week hiatus for the excellent BCQS Masters event that was held by the BSC last week.
The following Men’s Preliminary first round matches took place on Monday at the Barbados Squash Club (BSC), Marine Gardens, Hastings, Christ Church:

Michael Best def. Ronald Watson 11-4, 9-11, 11-4 (retired with foot injury)
Ryan Foster def. Matthew Mackenzie 11-9, 11-6, 11-7

The Men’s Preliminary second round will continue on Tuesday May 26th from 5:45 p.m. at the Barbados Squash Club with the one remaining first round match as well as the eight second robin matches scheduled:

The Men’s Main Draw will commence on Wednesday, May 27th from 5:45 p.m. This is when the top eight seeded men get underway. The Ladies competition will also begin on Wednesday with the top four seeded players beginning on Thursday.

Competition will continue from 5:45 p.m. each evening this week. All finals will be played this Saturday, May 30th beginning from 1:30 p.m. with the final match, the Men’s final, scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start.
