Many of Barbados’ best junior squash players showed off their skills over the weekend in the Sagicor General Insurance Junior Squash Championships that concluded at the Marine Courts, Christ Church, last night.

The tournament not only served to showcase the talents of the juniors, but also provided an excellent opportunity for highly competitive play ahead of the national team flying out to the Cayman Islands to take part in the Caribbean Amateur Squash Association’s 34th Regional Junior Squash Tournament scheduled for July 14 to 24.

There were several exciting match-ups, none more so than that between Meagan Best and Amanda Haywood.

But others such as Benjamin Griffith, Zachary Proverbs-Harris, Khamal Cumberbatch and Chemar Burnham were also quite impressive.

Barbados TODAY was there and brings this pictorial review of the action through the lens of photojournalist Morissa Lindsay.
