PSA – BTMI Barbados Squash Open 2018 – Day 4 – Semi Finals

Zac Alexander[3] vs  Andrew Douglas[6]

The match was off to a good start in game(1) with many rapid exchanges.

But it was Douglas who finished strong and took game(1) at [11-8].

However, in the early part of the game(2), Alexander was forced to retire with an injury.

Scores [11-8, 11-3 - retired]    

Winner: Andrew Douglas.

Spencer Lovejoy[5]  vs Rui Soares[1]

Spencer Lovejoy[5]  dominated game(1 & 2),  [11-6, 11-8,]. With speed and agility he had the #1 seed,  Rui Soares[1] under pressure to win rallies.

Soares fought back in the game(3), wining at [11-13] and was well positioned to win game(4) with 3 game balls.

But Lovejoy full of confidence and determination, was able to come from 3 game balls down, to win game (4) at  [12-10] and ultimately the match.  Scores [ 11-6, 11-8, 11-13, 12-10 ]

Winner: Spencer Lovejoy.
