Jordan storms to impressive squash victory in M+45 Plate

Frank Jordan overcame a two game deficit and fought back in impressive fashion to win his men’s over 45 plate match on an otherwise tranquil night of squash at the Barbados Squash Club (BSC), Marine Gardens, Christ Church (427-7913).
As action continued on Wednesday night in the veteran’s competition in the Barbados National Squash Championships, which are sponsored by the Barbados Olympic Association, Jordan played with his usual gusto and gradually wore down his opponent, Nick Paddison who may not have fully recovered after playing another match earlier in the evening. In the final match of the night, after dropping the first two games at 7 and 5, Jordan roared back to take the last three 9/6 9/3 9/6 to the amazement of the appreciative spectators on hand. The other matches played on Wednesday night were all won in straight games by the higher ranked player, the exception being Nick Paddison, who took a game off David Spink in the first round of the men’s over-50 knock out competition, before bowing out at 9/1 9/2 3/9 9/1.
