The Pleasant Place Squash Club (PPSC #1) team proved to be the strongest on the night when the finals of this year?s National Squash League were held recently at the Barbados Squash Club, Marine Gardens courts. The finals were held at the conclusion of the three week competition during which the eight competing teams played each other in a round robin format. After seven nights of keen and exciting squash the top two teams ? Barbados Squash Club #1 and PPSC #1 – played off in the final to determine who would take home bragging rights this year.
It proved to be a very close run thing with PPSC #1 winning matches at the #1, #2 and #6 positions while BSC #1 prevailed in the matches played in positions #3, #4 and #5. With the final score locked at three matches all, a count back in games won had to be employed, with PPSC #1 prevailing by 12 games to 10.

In the playoff for third place the BSC #2 team, led by captain Mark Sealy, brushed aside the BDF Squadron team by five matches to one.
