In the first round of the Men’s Consolation Plate the most noteworthy result was the easy victory in straight games by former national captain and three-time National Squash Champion, Mickey Armstrong, over the higher ranked Don Benn.

The top four men and top four ladies seeds oppose each other in the Men’s and Ladies semi-finals respectively which are scheduled for tonight (Friday) May 7, 2004 at the Barbados Squash Club, Marine Gardens courts, beginning at 5:45 p.m. Other matches in the Men’s and Ladies? Classic Plates, the Men’s Consolation Plate and the Men’s Plate will be played tonight as well.
All finals are scheduled for Saturday, May 8th, beginning from 1:00 p.m. The last match will be the men’s final, which is scheduled for a 5:00 p.m. start.
THE TROPHY PRESENTATION FOR ALL WINNERS, INCLUDING THOSE IN THE PREVIOUS VETERANS COMPETITION, WILL COMMENCE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE Men’s FINAL ON SATURDAY AFTERNOON. PLEASE MAKE A SPECIAL EFFORT TO ATTEND TO SHOW YOUR APPRECIATION TO THE SPONSORS THE BARBADOS OLYMPIC ASSOCIATION (BOA).
Admission to the Barbados Squash Club is free and refreshments are always on sale at the bar there. All spectators are welcome as long as they conduct themselves appropriately.
