Rules of the National Squash Ladder

a) Participation is mandatory for all National Training Squad members unless overseas, ill or injured.
b) Players are expected to play at least three ladder matches per month.
c) Ladder will end at midnight on June 30th and a new one installed for July on July 1st.
d) Players may challenge up to three places above their position (i.e. #17 may challenge up to #14). Players may not challenge players below their own position. Players may choose to designate any tournament match as a ladder match.
e) The challenger is responsible for making a court booking at a convenient time for the opponent. Once challenged a player must play that ladder match within 10 days or lose by default. A player may play up to two ladder matches per day.
f) The winner of a ladder match will move one place above the loser (assuming the challenger wins).
g) If the challenger loses the two players? respective positions on the ladder will remain unchanged.
h) Ladder matches can be played at any club, under any conditions (i.e. a/c or not), but must be PAR-11 scoring and best of five games. A referee is not required, but the results and score in each game are to be recorded and sent by the winner to Craig Archer at [email protected] or texted to him at (246) 231-6332. E-mailed information shall be copied by the winner to the loser who shall have 24 hrs. after the match ends to file an objection with Craig if the result has not been recorded correctly.
i) The ladder match results and positions will be published on the BSRA website each Sunday. Once posted the results will stand. Hard copies will be placed at each Club each Monday by 6:00 p.m.
j) The objective is to climb as high on the ladder as possible and to try at all costs to avoid the bottom three positions on the ladder since in July those three (3) players may be relegated to another (i.e. lower) ladder. In addition, if at the end of June any of those three places is occupied by any member of the Men’s training squad they may, on the recommendation of the Selection and Ranking Committee (S&RC), be omitted by the BSRA from the Men’s training squad at that time.
k) Results from the National Squash Ladder shall be used by the S&RC to help determine player ranking and also help determine on-going and future participation in the National training squad.

PERSONS NOT IN THE PRESENT LADDER WHO ARE INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATING IN THE NEXT ONE THAT WILL BEGIN JULY 1st KINDLY INDICATE THEIR INTEREST VIA E-MAIL TO CRAIG ARCHER BY JUNE 29, 2009. THANKS.
