The BSRA is pleased to advise that one of the top squash referees in the world, and Chairman of the World Squash Federation’s Rules and Referees Committee, Mr. Graham Waters, a WSF World Referee from Canada is in Barbados this week and has kindly agreed to host a mini-clinic for all persons interested in improving their refereeing skills.
Mr. Waters will go through the WSF’s latest referee DVD “Calling the Shots” during the mini-clinic. “Calling the Shots” is an interactive and educational tool for experienced and developing referees alike. The DVD shows real rallies involving top professionals. Viewers then ‘call the shot’ and check their answers against the opinions of WSF World Referees, Assessors and top professional players.
“We have invested much time and effort into the production of this DVD, following major demand not only from our member nations but also from referees, would-be referees and enthusiasts around the world,” said WSF Chief Executive Christian Leighton.
“If you’ve ever had doubts as to how to call a situation involving Blocking, Backswing Interference, Front Wall Access or Effort, this DVD is just for you,” added Leighton.
The confirmed date and time for this session is WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14TH AT THE BARBADOS SQUASH CLUB (COURT #1) FROM 5:45 P.M. SHARP TO 8:00 P.M.
There will be no cost to attend this clinic for BSRA members, Juniors and any visitors from our Southern Caribbean CASA countries.
Non-BSRA members will be asked to pay a contribution of $20 to the BSRA. Everyone attending will receive a free WSF Rule Book and a free Guide to Understanding the Rules of Squash (N.B. Many of you would have received these already, so bring your own copy as well as something to write with).
